XINSURANCE have a new boat coming for 2023. It is a 48’ MTI purpose-built for Class 1 team Abu Dhabi in 2014, by Class 1 Champion and MTI CEO Randy Scism. It should give them the performance/ride needed to compete against the other boats that were purpose-built for the rigours of Class 1 racing.
This will be the third Class 1 boat for the team since the start of 2022 when they debuted with the Cayman Islands-owned 42’ Victory formerly run as “Zabo”. Just before the Michigan City race last year, this boat was dropped in favour of a 44’ MTI, which raced formerly as Performance Boat Center in the Super Cat Class.
The team finished fourth overall in the UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship in 2022.
