Powerboat P1 has announced that its current sponsorship with CMR Construction & Roofing has been renewed for three years, with CMR becoming a series partner for APBA offshore racing until the end of the 2024 season. CMR's relationship with P1 has raised its profile in new areas and opened new doors for the award-winning industry leader, particularly in Florida. The success of this relationship has influenced CMR to extend its involvement with offshore racing.
The comprehensive sponsorship package will see CMR receive television exposure through P1's broadcasts in the United States and internationally, title sponsorship of the welcome events at races in the APBA Offshore National Championship from May to November, branding on the podium backdrop at P1 events with additional signage on the race site, VIP hospitality, and ongoing coverage through P1's social media and public relations programme. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this month and now the country's tenth-largest roofing company with more than 500 employees, CMR was not a newcomer to the motorsports world last season, but this was its first venture into powerboat racing. CMR's relationship with Shaun Torrente Racing gave the company first-hand involvement with highly professional racers in the offshore championship's largest and most competitive class. The team naming rights deal will continue this season.
