It’s great news that we have secured this sponsorship to support and promote the MOD V class this season. The funding is being provided to guarantee prize money, dedicated technical support, television coverage within our one-hour, post-produced highlights shows as well as guaranteed social media coverage for the class across the P1 Offshore digital channels. The competition this year should be intense with up to a dozen teams expected to enter.

Offshore racers in the flourishing MOD V class will be competing for a significant prize purse this year being provided by a sponsor. The MOD V National Money Series presented by Powerboat P1 will have total prize money of more than $120,000 comprising race event and overall prize purses.
The series champion across the five P1 rounds will receive $50,000, with the runner-up earning $35,000 and the third-place finisher $25,000. The purse includes per-race payouts of $5,000 for the winner, $2,500 for second, $1,500 for third, $1,000 for forth and $500 for fifth place. Teams must start at all five rounds in the series to qualify for the overall prize purse and a minimum of 3 boats must start a race to qualify for the event payout. All points stay with the boat so that the driver and throttleman can be changed during the season.

It’s amazing to be involved in this prestigious series. It has the highest prize payout in the North American offshore series, and we are really grateful for the opportunity to compete for this prize money again this year.
